Youngkin To Request 400M In Tax Relief For ’23

Gov. Glenn Youngkin is planning to ask for $400 million to be set aside in next year’s budget for tax relief. Youngkin tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch he will ask for the allocation from the nearly $3.2 billion in surplus revenue and unspent appropriations in the fiscal year that ended on June 30. The Republican says he expects Virginia to weather high inflation and an expected economic downturn better than most states.
