Youngkin Signs Police Chief Curfew Bill

Governor Glenn Youngkin signs a bill allowing police chiefs to impose curfews during tims of civil unrest. It allows a police chief to impose a curfew if there’s a civil commotion or disturbance which constitutes a clear and present danger. The curfew will be in place for no more than 24 hours unless extended or renewed through a judicial order or by a governing body.
