Youngkin Signs Legislation Allowing Sunday Hunting on Public Land

Sunday hunting is permitted on public land more than 200 yards from places of worship under a bill signed into law by Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Previously, Wildlife Management Areas and National Forests were only open to hunters every other day of the week, except Sundays. Last fall the Board of the Department of Wildlife Resources passed a resolution supporting the new law. It takes eff4ct July 1.
