Work Begins Today On Norris Bridge

A reminder that the DOT begins a 6-week long project today at the Robert O. Norris bridge which will reduce traffic to a single lane weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Automated flagging devices will direct one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone. All lanes will be open on the weekends. Then on Sept. 19 crews will start a required biennial inspection of the entire bridge. DOT officials say the planned completion date is Oct. 21 but it is weather-dependent.
