Virginia Marine Police say a 16 year old boy from Gloucester was killed after the Yamaha personal watercraft he was riding on collided with his stepfathers pontoon boat. The crash happened on the York River on Sunday, at Machicomoco State Park in Gloucester County. Authorities so far believe the collision was an accident. Zachary Weijian, spokesman for the Virginia Marine Police, said ten people were on the pontoon boat when the collision happened, and those passengers recovered the teen from the water and brought him to the boat ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene, no one else was hurt. Marine police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor, and there are no charges pending.
