The Virginia Lottery released its November 2022 sports wagering report and bets were up by 29% from November of 2021. Bets topped $518 million and winners took home over $461 million. State law places a 15% tax on sports betting activity based on each permit holder’s adjusted gross revenue. 97.5% ofd those revenues go imnto the General Fund and 2.5% is allocated to the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund administered by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health.
