Virginia Redistricting Commission Likely To Not Create New Maps

Monday is the deadline for the Virginia Redistricting Commission to come up with revised districting maps but according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch the bipartisan committee is no closer to agreeing on those new boundaries. The panel met for 3 hours on Wednesday and deadlocked on which map to choose with no further meetings planned. If Monday’s deadline passes without a vote the state Supreme Court will be tasked with creating the new districts.
