Virginia Is 10th Most Charitable State

A study from personal finance website WalletHub finds Virginia is the 10th most charitable state in the country. The Augusta Free Press reports the ranking is based on 19 key indicators of charitable behavior. Data includes volunteer rate, the share of donated income and the share of sheltered homeless. The most charitable states are Utah, Maryland, Minnesota, North Dakota and Oregon. Least charitable are Arizona, New Mexico, Mississippi, Louisiana and Nevada.
