Virginia Department of Forestry Awarding Tree Planting Grants

The Virginia Department of Forestry is offering $900,000 in grants for tree-planting efforts this fall and in the spring of 2023. It’s from the Trees for Clean Water Grant Program which aims to improve water quality across Virginia by encouraging tree-planting projects of all types. Applications are accepted in the form of a proposal and the recommended funding range is between $1,000 and $50,000 per project. Application deadline is Aug. 25.
