VDOE Finds More Unprocessed Voter Registration Transactions

The Virginia Department of Elections reports a computing error resulted in over 149,000 voter records being sent to local general registrars for processing. The department previously sent 107,000 unproccesed applications to registrars which were submitted through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. DOE officials say they found the 149,000 unprocessed voter registration transactions after reviewing the system when several people tried to vote but didn’t have updated information.
