VCU Raising Tuition And Fees

Virginia Commonwealth University is implementing an increase in tuition and fees for undergraduate students. The university’s Board of Visitors voted for a 2.7% tuition increase and a 4% increase in fees, amounting to $137. This decision comes as VCU aims to balance affordability with investments in academic quality and student experiences. Despite the increase, VCU emphasizes its history of minimal tuition hikes and increased financial aid. For the 2024-2025 academic year, typical in-state undergraduate students can expect to pay $16,720 in tuition and fees, while out-of-state undergraduates will pay $39,884.
