VA AG to Join ESG Ratings Investigation

Virginia Attorney General Miyares joins a coalition of 18 state attorneys general investigating environmental, social, governance investing ratings company Morningstar Inc. and its subsidiary Sustainalytics for violations of Virginia’s consumer protection laws. This is the first investigation by state attorneys general into an environmental, social, and governance ratings company for consumer fraud or unfair trade practices. More information will be made available as this investigation moves forward.
