Urbanna Street Named For Fallen Soldier

An Urbanna street is renamed to honor a World War II soldier killed in the line of dury. According to the Southside Sentinel Howard was an Urbanna native and grew up on the street that now bears his name. Howard died on July 31, 1944 at the age of 20. He is buried in France along with numerous other GIs killed in battle. New signage on Howard Street is in place.
