Tappahannock Tavern Project Gets State Grant

A Tappahannock renovation project gets a $250,000 grant from the Virginia Industrial Revitalization Fund. The money will go to “The 1710 Tavern” project which is a partnership between Tappahannock Main Street and Ross-Simpson Properties. Experts say the Tavern is considered one of the oldest surviving pubs in the commonwealth. Nearly $25 million went to 22 projects statewide.
