Tappahannock Death Under Investigation

Tappahannock Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old town resident. Officers responded to a Water Lane residence for an unresponsive person report. They found a woman deceased inside the home. Additional officers and detectives responded to begin a death investigation along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The Essex County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation are aiding in the investigation.
