Storms Knock Out Power To NNEC Members

Nearly 1.800 Northern Neck Electric Cooperative members lost service Monday afternoon. Coop spokesman Kyle Allwine says the outage affected parts of Northumberland county, including the Heathsville, Lewisetta and Lottsburg areas. The outage was caused by the storms that swept across the area. Power was restored to nearly all members by 7:45 p.m with crews staying out until all service was restored. Allwine says they appreciate their members for their patience and for the efforts of the coop’s lineworkers, engineers, and support staff.
