Sept. 28 Oyster Tasting benefits Jacob’s Ladder

The fourth annual Jacob’s Lad­der Oys­ter Tast­ing will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sep­tem­ber 28 at Mer­rior, easy to find at 784 Lock­lies Creek Road, Top­ping. The tast­ing is the per­fect oppor­tu­nity to learn about native oys­ters.

Jacob’s Lad­der is a pro­gram for at-risk, gifted chil­dren in Vir­ginia and North Car­olina, in grades 4–8.
