Senator Proposes Blue Headlight Ban

Virginia may soon ban so-called “blue headlights” if a bill is approved by the General Assembly. WRIC reports the legislation affects aftermarket lights that are often installed in older vehicles, not the LED bulbs factory-installed in newer vehicles. Authorities say the aftermarket lighting is brighter than the regular halogen bulbs and can affect oncoming drivers. The law also would ban tinting lenses to give it a blue tint.
