Virginia’s annual sales tax holiday kicks off this Friday at 12:01 a.m. and ends Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Among the tax-exempt items are school supplies as well as clothing and footwear for $100 or less per item. You can also purchase hurricane and emergency preparedness products including portable generators, gas-powered chainsaws and chainsaw accessories for $60 or less per item without paying state tax.
