Route 17 Bridge Over Dragon Run Closed From Structural Damage Due To Accident

The Virginia Department of Transportation closed the Route 17 northbound bridge over Dragon Run in Gloucester County after a Sunday morning crash caused significant damage to the structure. Route 17 near Dragon Drive is reduced to one northbound lane and one southbound lane. Northbound traffic is diverted to a southbound lane over the bridge then back to northbound Route 17. The northbound bridge will remain closed until repairs are completed.
