Richmond County Getting Solar Facility

Richmond County will be getting a solar power facility that will be operated by Northern Neck Electric Cooperative. The Virginia Mercury reports the project is one of 4 being built for electric cooperatives in Virginia by Old Dominion Electric Cooperative. The Richmond County project will generate 6.5 megawatts of power once it comes online in 2023. ODEC officials say the deals for the projects were made prior to recent price increases across the economy.
