Rezoning In Lancaster

The Lancaster planning commission has given its recommendation for rezoning two parcels on Mary Ball Road from residential to commercial. The unanimous decision follows public hearings regarding the matter. Dona McNeal/Fillmore Trustee seeks commercial zoning for a .477-acre parcel, aiming to repurpose the existing home as an office for Brookvale Mini Storage. Another applicant, Greg Berkshire, is seeking commercial zoning for a .5-acre parcel for retail seafood sales. Both requests will proceed to the board of supervisors for further consideration after another public hearing. Additionally, the commission proposed changes to align county code on private boat piers with state regulations, aiming to eliminate confusion and allow for larger piers.
