Rappahannock Community College To Build New Welder Training Facility

Rappahannock Community College is partnering with a number of agencies to build a state-of-the-art welding facility at the former New Kent High School. Officals say it will address the critical and growing need for welders in the area and help revitalize the welder talent pipeline which was significantly stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic.The project is being funded through a $300,000 Growth and Opportunity for Virginia grant.and $150,000 from the college.
