The Virginia Department of Transportation is performing a series of overnight test openings this week on the George P. Coleman Bridge. They are scheduled between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. and each will last approximately 20 minutes or less. After each opening, crews will reopen the travel lanes on the bridge to allow any traffic backups to clear. The Coleman Bridge is a double-swing span structure over the York River that connects Gloucester Point and Yorktown.
