Open Enrollment Under Way For Healthcare Exchange Plans

The new month marks the beginning of health insurance plan open enrollment on healthcare.gov. Virginians will be finding additional plan options this year and lower cost plans. There are 12 insurers writing policies in the commonwealth and some patients may qualify for American Rescue Plan tax credits to reduce their out-of-pocket costs and monthly premiums. Open enrollment runs through Jan. 15 which is a month longer than in the past.
