The Northumberland County Board of Supervisors is to consider recommendations from the planning commission on changes to public camping regulations but any changes to the short-term-rental ordinance will take a little longer. The Rappahannock Record reports that’s because the commission is still working on its recommendations. The camping ordinance recommend changes include separating tent camping, and changing “travel trailer” to “recreational vehicle”. The commission also recommend removing a seven-day time restriction and a health department-approved sanitation facility requirement for non-commercial tent camping.
