The Northumberland County Board of Supervisors is considering revisions to its camping ordinances. According to the Rappahannock Record the revised ordinance allows tent camping by owners, residents and tenants and guests in conservation and residential zoned properties. Commercial tent camping would be allowed with a conditional use permit conservation and residential zoned properties. The commission voted 7-1 to hold a public hearing on the revised ordinance with a date to be scheduled.
