If you see some Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputies with a beard or goatee the next few weeks it is all for a great cause. The deputies are participating in “No Shave November” where they make a charitable donation in order to avoid shaving. The donations go to the Sheriff’s charity of choice which for this year is the Northumberland Family YMCA. Several other area law enforcement agencies are conducting their own no-shave events.
