Attorney General Jason Miyares files a complaint against the leaders of Avid Telecom accusing them of facilitating billions of illegal robocalls and violating federal and state telemarketing and consumer laws for just over fours years. According to 8 news Avid Telecom sells data, phone numbers and dialing software in order to help its customers make mass robocalls. The company is also accused of helping to send, transmit and route more than 24.5 billion calls between December 2018 and January 2023.
