Medal of Honor recipient to address W&M grads

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) – Medal of Honor recipient Leroy Petry will receive an honorary degree from the College of William & Mary during commencement.

Petry also is scheduled to address the Class of 2014 at the May 11 ceremony.

The university says an honorary degree also will be awarded to Universal Health Services CEO and chairman Alan B. Miller. Miller is the namesake of the Mason School of Business’ Miller Hall.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is scheduled to deliver brief remarks. Scalia also will give the William & Mary Law School graduation address later in the day.
