Mathews School Board Member Resign

There’s a vacancy on the Mathews County School Board because Jeanice Sadler put in her resignation on Tuesday effective Nov. 20. According to the Gazette-Journal the board will select an interim member who would serve until next year’s general election when a candidate is chosen to finish out Sadler’s remaining term which expires in 2024. It was 5 years ago when the board had to fill a similar vacancy.
