The Mathews County Board held a public hearing last Tuesday to discuss the expenditure of nearly $308,000 to repair structural issues at the Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill on Gwynn’s Island. The Gazette-Journal reports after the hearing the board decided not to take a vote on the matter with Chairman Dave Jones saying the the business owner still has legal remedies after the county ordered them to pay for the repairs.
