The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is requesting approximately $45,000 for 10 new Tasers. According to News on the Neck the department wants to go to a use of force curriculum that provides officers with options other than deadly force. The department is seeing increasing interaction between deputies and people suffering with mental health issues. The department’s current Tasers were bought 17 years ago.
