Lancaster County Planning Commission Looking At Changing STR Ordinance

The Lancaster County Planning Commission begins discussions on addressing complaints regarding short-term rentals in the county. According to the Rappahannock Record a 2018 ordinance incorporated a 2% transient occupancy tax and had no limits on where or how short term rentals through services like AirBNB could occur. The commission will consider proposed ordinance amendments at the October 20 meeting and will schedule a public hearing in November.
