Lancaster County BOS Approves School Bond Issuance

Construction of a new Lancaster County Middle and High School is a step closer now that the Board of Supervisors approved issuing a $63 million bond through the Virginia Public School Authority. The Rappahannock Record reports the board unanimously approved issuing the bond over objections raised during a public hearing. The school is to be built on a 57-acre parcel near near Kilmarnock between Dream Fields and the Hills Quarter subdivision.
