LanCoBOS Wants To Ensure Teacher Pay Is Competitive

The Lancaster County Board of Supervisors is discussing teacher pay with the school board so it is competitive with other jobs and with surrounding counties. The Rappahannock Record reports Supervisor Jason Bellows told the board to ask for what they need, and then they will decide whether they can afford it or not. Bellows also said he wants to see data on how the division’s pay compares with others. School superintendent Jessica Davis submitted a $18.1 million proposed budget.
