Kilmarnock Police Officers Getting Bonus

Kilmarnock’s full-time sworn law enforcement officers will be getting a $3,000 bonus just in time for the holiday season. According to the Rappahannock Record the town council unanimously voted to use American Rescue Plan Act funding along with some money from the existing Aid to Localities funds to pay the bonuses. Part-time officers will receive a prorated bonus based on hours worked fiscal year to date. Officials say the bonus should be dispersed by Nov. 30.
