Jury Duty Scam Making The Rounds

Authorities are warning that a so-called “jury scam” is making the rounds where a scammer calls claiming they are a deputy or prosecuting attorney. They then state that the person is missing jury duty and they are in “contempt of court” and will need to pay over the phone to stay out of jail. The payment or personal information request is the tip-off for a scam and authorities say to hang up if you get one of these calls.
