Hummel Field Gets Land Expansion

Hummel Field gets a little larger after the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors agrees to to pay $300,000 for a six-acre tract of land at the north end of the Topping airport. According to the Southside Sentinel the board bought the land to ensure that is it part of Hummel which just had a runway expansion. The land was owned by Oscar Barber who was the runway expansion project manager.
