Heat Concerns Continue

During the recent heat wave, emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses soared in much of the Commonwealth, especially in Northern Virginia. Federal health data from the CDC shows a drastic increase in ER visits due to the sweltering temperatures. Residents are still advised to limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, stay hydrated, and wear light clothing to prevent heat exhaustion. Relief from the heat is expected by the end of this week, but precautions remain crucial as much of Virginia anticipates more days of extreme heat coming up in July.
