Google Ups Massive Investment In Virginia

In a move that is seen as having a giant effect on the economy statewide, Google has announced a massive $1 billion investment to expand its Virginia data centers, including two sites in Loudoun County and a newly opened campus in Prince William County. This initiative, announced by Google President and CEO Ruth Porat alongside Governor Glenn Youngkin, brings Google’s total investment in the state to over $4.2 billion. In addition to the expansion, Google unveiled two new AI workforce development initiatives aimed to equip Virginians, veterans, and millions of others with essential AI skills for the future job market.
