Gloucester Man Enters Guilty Plea In Murder Case

A Gloucester man has pled guilty to second-degree murder. 25 year old Winfrey Carlton Henry Jr. entered the guilty plea in Gloucester County Circuit Court, in connection to last February’s murder of 36-year-old Kayron Tyrone Long of Ware Neck. Henry also faced charges including first-degree murder, concealment of a dead body, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting or stabbing in the commission of a felony. Those charges are now dropped as part of a plea deal, that also includes an agreement between the Commonwealth Attorney’s office and Henry’s lawyer that there will be a cap on the active sentence, in which Henry will not be in prison for longer than 20 years. He will be sentenced on May 7.
