Gloucester Daffodil Club Extends Invitation

The members of the Gloucester Daffodil Club are already getting geared up for the upcoming daffodil season. They say their mission is to “Turn Gloucester Yellow.” Last year, club members planted more than 10,000 daffodil bulbs by hand throughout the county. Their largest effort involved more than 2,800 bulbs that were planted at the entrances to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. Since the club was first formed in 2018, its members have planted 119,695 bulbs at 61 locations. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Gloucester Daffodil Club, or if you simply want to learn a little more about what they do, you are invited to attend their next meeting. It’s this Thursday from 4 to 6pm in the Chesapeake Lounge at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, on Daffodil Lane in Gloucester. Come on out this Thursday and learn how you can help ‘Turn Gloucester Yellow.’
