The Gloucester Board of Supervisors approved amending the county zoning map to reclassify acreage in the Gloucester Point River Club at the Twin Island neighborhood. According to the Gazette-Journal a developer had planned to build 54 condominiums on the 2.62 acre property but the current owner now wants to build around 40 townhomes which requires the zoning change. The construction will be along the part of the development facing the York River causing some current homeowners to lose their view of the water.
