You’ve probably noticed gas prices going up lately. gasbuddy.com says the average gasoline prices in the state have gone up 17.2 cents per gallon in the last week. There are more than $0.29 a gallon higher than the price a month ago, and almost. $0.38 a gallon lower than the price a year ago. The national average price has gone up 16 cents in the last week and it’s up more than $0.21 a gallon from the price a month ago, Patrick Dahan of GasBuddy told WSET. Gas prices soared over the last week due to heat related refinery outages that affected some of the largest refineries in the country. Plus, he says, oil prices surged to their highest price in months.
