GA Considering Free Breakfast And Lunch For All School Divisions

The General Assembly may consider legislation to make breakfast and lunch free for all Virginia students. A budget amendment would provide funding for the 51 school divisions that don’t already participate in a free meals program. The Democratic proposal has the support of at least one Republican delegate. If approved, the proposal will go into effect the next school year.
