Fire damaged a home on Linden Avenue in Cobbs Creek last Saturday afternoon.
The fire was called in by a neighbor just before 3 that afternoon, and firefighters arrived to find heavy fire and smoke showing just three minutes later.
A one-story addition to the two-story house was a total loss and there was extensive heat, smoke and water damage throughout the entire home.
Fire investigators say the main portion of the house appeared to be relatively structurally sound, but all the interior plaster walls and lathing will probably have to be ripped out.
Most of the furniture and personal items were destroyed or damaged beyond repair. Damage estimates are about $75,000.
