Fatal Crash In Essex County

A woman is killed in a one-car crash Monday on Byrd’s Bridge Road in Essex County. Police say the driver was heading northbound when he ran off the road to the right then over-corrected. The vehicle then went off the road a second time and overturned. According to investigators the woman identified as Heather Nicole Gulasky was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to VCU Medical Center.
