Farnham Man Sentenced In DV Conviction

A man from Farnham is sentenced to 8 years in jail after being found guilty in the 2020 abduction and malicious wounding of a woman. According to the Rappahannock Record the judge sentenced Markus Smith to 30 years with 22 suspended. Prosecutors say Smith dragged the victim out of a room at the Whispering Pines Motel in White Stone and into his waiting car to take her to the home she had shared with Smith for four years.
