Essex County Gets Federal Funding For Community Connectivity and Mobility Projects

Essex County is receiving $1.5 million in federal funding for its Community Connectivity and Mobility project. It will pay for the planning to conduct a multimodal assessment and develop a master plan that will propose projects and cost estimates for future projects. The money is part of over $64 million awarded to Virginia from a U.S. Department of Transportation discretionary grant program that helps communities plan and carry out projects with local or regional impact.
